Welcome to the journey of counseling. As a licensed professional counselor, I’d be honored to guide you through the storm of relationships, stress, hopelessness, career, anxiety, trauma, and the many difficulties of life.
I became a therapist because I love to help heal old wounds, work through pain, and find ways to live values-driven amidst the uncertainties of life. I’m at my best collaborating with you to identify and achieve your goals in therapy.
Hi, I’m Jared.
My Approach
I approach the therapeutic process as a fellow traveler. I liken it to climbing my own mountain and working with you as you climb yours. I help you clarify your values, hold space to approach difficult topics, sit with you in the pain, and challenge your deeply held thoughts and assumptions.
Often, good therapy is hard. I’ll invite you to reflect deeper on blind spots, reconsider long-held beliefs, and look at uncomfortable things. But we go at your pace, and I’m trained to know when to push and when to help you slow down.
I love hearing where your journey has brought you, and figuring out where to go from here. I have experience with teens and adults from various backgrounds and experiences. If you think we might work well together, reach out for a free consultation.
For those interested, I offer Christian counseling upon request. I have a bachelor’s and master’s degree in theological studies. This extensive training helps me thrive when working with people who want to join their Christian faith with sound psychological wisdom.
Whether that’s understanding how the church has hurt you, trying to live more congruent with your beliefs, or using your faith to push you forward, I look forward to helping you integrate life and faith.
More About Me
I’m a proud husband to my wife Abigail (who is also a therapist) and a proud father to our daughter Hope. I’m from Connecticut and have lived in Ohio, Missouri, and Washington state. In my free time, I play ultimate frisbee and hike, with a goal of seeing all the national parks someday (10 of 63 so far). I’m currently planning my honor mode run on Baldur’s Gate 3, play MtG weekly, and 3D print and paint miniatures for my tabletop campaign. I read a bunch in the sci-fi and fantasy genres, and I’m trying to read everything that C.S. Lewis has ever written.
